This site is run by the Buxton Vision group and has the latest on practically everything that is happening in Buxton, especially seasonal events which range from street and indoor theatre, literary and food festivals in the summer, Christmas fairs in winter, farmers markets and concerts throughout the year.

This is another key website for everything that is happening in Buxton. Vision Buxton brings together local businesses, community groups and individuals who are all passionate about making Buxton an even better place to live work and play. They play an important role within the community and the commercial life of our town.
The Buxton Library organises several events throughout the year, especially in the winter months. It is a welcoming and well-stocked space for everyone, with free internet access and Wi-Fi, a children and adult area, DVDs to rent and videogames to play. Oh, and it also has books!
The Buxton Museum is a great space to spend a few hours. It has a permanent display with exhibits from pre-historic to modern-day Buxton life, but is also boasts artwork by local schools and established local artists. Its shop sells Science Museum toys and gadgets and has an enticing collection of semi-precious stones to collect.
Local art gallery that runs workshops and activities for children, as well as exhibitions by local artists.
Local Tourist Board
This site has information from the Tourist Board on local festivals, seasonal events, farmers markets, art exhibitions and plenty more both in and around Buxton, including events at Chatsworth House and in the surrounding towns and villages.
The weather is an ‘event’ in Buxton. This site is run and updated in real time by locals and for locals with information on road closures in and out of Buxton, flood and ice warnings, etc.
This is the Derbyshire Council website which allows you to sign up for email alerts of school closures in the local area. It’s especially handy if you have children at different schools.
