The Buxton Library organises several events throughout the year, especially in the winter months. It is a welcoming and well-stocked space for everyone, with free internet access and Wi-Fi, a children and adult area, DVDs to rent and videogames to play. Oh, and it also has books!

The Buxton Museum is a great space to spend a few hours. It has a permanent display with exhibits from pre-historic to modern-day Buxton life, but is also boasts artwork by local schools and established local artists. Its shop sells Science Museum toys and gadgets and has an enticing collection of semi-precious stones to collect.
